Renée Zabela

MSOD, MSEE, ICF PCC
I grew up near Pittsburgh, PA and settled in the Metropolitan Washington D.C. region after earning an engineering degree from Virginia Tech. For the next 2+ decades, I worked as a Technical Consultant/Engineer on various electronic system developments.
Life changed course for me after I read this quote:
“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
- Howard Thurman
These words resonated deeply, driving me to discover what makes me come alive, and go do it. Guided by my passions for helping people and analyzing data, I found the field of Organization Development (OD) and completed the American University MSOD program. Afterward, I completed the Duquesne University Professional Coach Certification Program and earned my International Coach Federation (ICF) Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential. In the subsequent years I have help organizations, teams, and individuals identify and implement changes that lead to greater impact and sense of fulfillment.
I come alive as a coach and organization development practitioner. I am using my strengths to make the world a better place! I create a warm, structured, judgment-free environment for clients to discover what they want and need, and build momentum to achieve it. My empathy and capacity for human connection help me establish rapport and trust. Clients appreciate my ability to facilitate exploration and discovery. My superpower is my ability to make associations that can stimulate client insights that catalyze transformational change.
My hobbies include travel, tennis, hiking, biking, needle crafts and learning French.
